Will Dinesh Vijan’s 'romantic' bloody-horror-comedy “Thama’ with Rashmika, Ayushmann, Nawaazuddin, Paresh be (2025) Diwali-‘ Thama-ka’ ?! by Chaitanya Padukone

Showman producer Dinesh Vijan (of blockbuster Stree-2) fame is planning his next cinematic venture. Titled ‘Thama’ the movie will add a new upgraded dimension to Maddock’s horror-comedy universe, this time with a “love story—a bloody one”!

Multi-starrer ‘Stree-2 ( ‘Sarkate ki Aatank ‘ )  directed by Amar Kaushik  has reportedly earned over Rs 885 Crores worldwide, emerging as the highest-grossing film of 2024 till date

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, ‘Thama’ is set to release in cinema theaters on Diwali 2025! 

Dinesh Vijan’s next chapter in the horror comedy universe has been just announced on the auspicious occasion of this year’s Diwali Dhanteras yesterday evening! After the massive mega-success of Stree 2 and Munjya this year, their horror comedy universe is set to expand this time with a love story— unfortunately a bloody one! With ‘Munjya’ achieving huge box office success and ‘Stree 2’ becoming the No. 1 film in Bollywood by shattering all records, Maddock Films is making waves. The team's unique storytelling, often laced with humor and horror, has created a distinct cinematic universe that resonates with fans. This trend continues with their upcoming film, "Thama," which promises to introduce a gripping love story set against a bloody backdrop.

Set to hit theatres on Diwali 2025, "Thama" brings together an impressive cast, including Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
