For the last two years, many stars of the South Film Industry have started being called Pan India stars. His films have started doing business all over the country. The main ones among them are Allu Arjun and Prabhash. These were said to be the stars with expensive brand value for the year 2022. The scenario changed in the year 2023. Many Bollywood films became huge hits on the popularity charts and the South lagged. After the immense success of Pathan, Gadar, Jawan, and Animal, Shahrukh Khan, Sunny Deol, Ranbir Kapoor, and Bobby Deol are hot topics of discussion everywhere and they are today's favorites. Among these, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan are always the stars in demand. Apart from these, the stars whose price and demand have increased in the market these days are Sunny Deol, Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, etc. The brand value of stars is determined for different products according to different preferences. Cricketers are also not behind film stars in the race to create brand value. In simple words, the celebrity who has higher brand value gets more remuneration for doing the same number of advertisements.
It can also be said that the stars who are more engaged as faces (ambassadors) in commercial brands have higher brand value. It is calculated based on demand and supply in the market. Let us see, what was the brand value of which star based on the brand valuation report at the beginning of the year 2023-
Brand Value of Bollywood stars:
According to the report, Ranveer Singh had the highest score among Bollywood stars. Ranveer Singh's brand value has been $181.7 million, leaving cricketer Virat Kohli behind. Earlier, Virat Kohli's value used to be at the first position ($176.7 million). Akshay Kumar's valuation is ($153.6 million) which was second in Bollywood after Ranveer Singh and third in the celebrity chart. Similarly, Alia Bhatt ($102.9 million) was ranked fourth and Deepika Padukone ($82.9 million) was ranked fifth after Alia. Among other Bollywood celebrities, Amitabh Bachchan's value was higher than Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan in the charts. Amitabh Bachchan's brand value was $79 million which was behind Deepika Padukone but above Shahrukh Khan ($55.7 million) and Salman Khan ($54.5 million). But, Hrithik Roshan ($71.6 million) had more brand value than both the Khans. Ranbir Kapoor ($54.5 million) has been at par with Salman Khan in the list of brand value, whereas last year he was far behind his namesake Ranveer Singh. Anushka Sharma ($41.7 million), who is lagging far behind her husband Virat Kohli in this chart, is ahead of Kiara Advani ($38.3 million) in the branding chart. Ayushmann Khurana’s brand value ($49.5 million) was more than Anushka and Kiara.
Brand value of South Stars:
Allu Arjun topped the Brand Value Celebrity Report of 2022 ($314 million). Whereas after the arrival of the film RRR in the Oscar award discussion, the demand for Ram Charan and Jr. NTR had increased in 2023. Rashmika Mandanna, who entered the Hindi film industry from the South film industry, was ranked second ($25.3 million) in last year's report. Now her position has become stronger. After Rashmika comes the name of Samantha Ruth Prabhu ($22.8 million). After that, Mahesh Babu ($16.9 million) and Ramcharan ($11.7 million) are in their respective positions.
Brand value of cricket stars:
In the physical market, there is always a demand for both cricketers and film stars to be made brand ambassadors. Virat Kohli's position is seen at the top among the players. Virat Kohli ($176.9 million) was way above other cricket stars. The brand values of MS Dhoni ($80.3 million), Sachin Tendulkar ($73.6 million) and Rohit Sharma ($49.5 million) before the start of 2023. Due to losing the World Cup, this report will be reversed in the year 2024.
Who will have the biggest brand valuation in 2024?
This report is from last year as per Kroll's report. The year 2023 has been a time of ups and downs in the brand value of Bollywood film stars, South film stars, and cricket stars. Therefore, there will be a huge change in the brand valuation of stars in the year 2024. In last year's brand endorsements, instead of the faces of big stars like Ranveer Singh and Allu Arjun, viewers may see new faces in some advertisements depending on the brand.
