Perhaps the most talked about film of this decade will be "Ramayana", which has already made so many headlines even before it was made that its maker Nitish Tiwari himself has said that the film has not even started and the publicity has become so much that... neither past nor future had happened! The Ram story of 'Ramayana', which has emerged from the pages of the book, is now fully prepared to be adapted to the cinema screen. There were repeated obstacles in the election of Ravana, an important character in the film. Regarding the film, the new news is that the makers of Ramayana have found the big Ravana of their choice. This is Yash, the star of Kannada films and the hero of Pan India film KGF2!

Yash Confirmed as Ravana in 'Ramayana' Film

Ramayana: Rocking Star Yash Portrays Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'

Let us tell you that a decision could not be taken as to who would become Ravana. Time and again people's consensus was on KGF star Yash. Initially, Yash came to the project and then walked out. Then when the news of his joining came, his clarification came that he is a part of the film Ramayana but not as an actor, but as a co-producer. There was also news that he was not ready to become Ravana even on the offer of being given the highest payment by the team. Finally, it has now been confirmed that Yash will be the Ravana of 'Ramayana'.

Let us tell you that there was no race for the role of Ram in 'Ramayana'. For this, Ranbir Kapoor has been everyone's first choice from the beginning till now. Ranbir Kapoor has done all the preparations to become Ram by rehearsing his physique, look, bow and arrow, Calmness, sitting and walking style. He has also become a part of the shoot of the film. A little difficulty came with the role of Sita. Earlier when the talk of the film started, Deepika Padukone's name was considered for Sita. Deepika was once Ranbir's girlfriend. She could not become Sita in the film 'Pathan' and in other films due to her free-spirited glamorous style. Then Alia Bhatt came on board. Ranbir-Alia became husband and wife, and parents of a daughter. Alia's name was rejected for the role of Sita. Ultimately, Sita was finalized by South Indian superstar Sai Pallavi. Sai Pallavi has also now become a part of the photo shoot in Sita's getup.

Ramayana: Yash To Wear Clothes Made Of Real Gold, Gain 15 Kg Weight To Play Ravana?

Without Ravana being selected in the 350-day shooting schedule of the film, things were not going ahead. Although the film is being made in two parts and most of the work of Ravana is going to happen in the second part only, but the producers want both parts to be shot simultaneously so that there is no difference in the look and acting style of the actors. Nitish Tiwari's team has gotten a big relief from Yash's acceptance to play the role of Ravana. He wants to present such a Ravana who will prove to be a bigger Ravana on screen than the Ravana of any Ramayana film that has gained fame. Even Arvind Trivedi of Ramanand Sagar's serial Ramayan did not get that discussion.

Madhu Mantena backs out of producing the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ramayana? Here's what we know

Made for Rs 850 crore, it would be right to call this film the biggest film ever made on the canvas of a multi-starrer film. In this film, Ram (Ranbir Kapoor), Sita (Sai Pallavi), and Ravana (Yash) are big stars on the big screen, Sunny Deol who plays the role of Hanuman is a superstar. The other star actor in the film is Lara Dutta in the role of Kaikeyi. Arun Govil in the role of Dasharatha, and Ravi Dubey in the role of Laxman. AR Rahman and Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer have been selected to compose the music of Ramayana.

After Yash's acceptance to play Ravana in Ramayana, it is being said that director Nitish Tiwari has found his big Ravana. Part one of the film will be released in 2027 while part two will be released a year after the first part.
