ESHA DEOL TO PLAY CHEF IN RAM KAMAL'S 'CAKEWALK'

Esha Deol who have worked with many prominent actors like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan is now all set to make her comeback with a short feature film 'Cakewalk.' The story and screenplay have been penned down by Hema Malini’s biographer turned director Ram Kamal Mukherjee, who will also direct the film. It will be co-directed by Abhra Chakraborty, who assisted National Award winning Bengali director Bappaditya Bandhopadhya in ‘Elar Chaar Adhyay’.

Esha will be seen playing the role of a chef which will portray the professional and personal journey of a woman in our society. According to a leading daily, Esha said, "The idea of making a film came into Ram Kamal’s mind while he was interviewing me for his book on my mother"

"I think this is the right time to make short films. And honestly my priority is my daughter Radhya now. I have requested my husband to take a break for few days and just be with Radhya while I wrap up the shoot in one schedule. And I am lucky to have someone like Bharat," she added

Talking about the film, the director said to a leading daily, “I always wanted to tell a story, it was just a matter of time. It was actually Esha who inspired me to direct the film," says Ram Kamal

Esha Deol got married to a businessman, Bharat Takhtani on June 29, 2012 and last year they were blessed with a baby girl Radhya.
