Destiny or call it god has made me meet some of the greatest human beings in my one life in which i had seen very little hope of reaching any kind of goal - Ali Peter John

And look at all the people who have come into my life at different times, How could i even in my wildest dreams know that i would one day be standing in the same queue with dilip kumar and saira banu, with the same dream of having a darshan of the goddess on earth , the world knew as mother Teresa.

I was lucky to have a friend called mohan wagh who was the father in law of the mns leader raj thackeray who wanted me to go with him to see mother teresa and i was only too glad to join him in his yatraa.

On the way , he put a whole bundle of currency notes in my hands and asked me to present the money to the mother.

When we reached her missionary hall in vile parle , we could see a very long queue with some of the best known celebrities from mumbai and among them was the number one couple of the film industry , dilip kumar and saira banu.

People in the queue asked the couple to go ahead of the queue, but dilip kumar said he would be doing something very wrong if he got special treatment if he had come to the mother with the right intentions.

I reached the mother and touched her feet as she was sitting on a plain coir mat on the floor , i handed over the currency notes to the mother and she blessed me and told me "tell all your friends that i dont need bouquets or gifts , i need money to take care of my poor people ".

I told dilip kumar and saira what the morher had told me and fortunately they too had only brought money to offer her.

The couple bowed before and kissed the hands of the mother after handing over a large envelope which had many currency notes in it , the mother was so moved that she got up from her mat and raised her hands and blessed the couple , she hardly knew that dilip kumar and saira banu were idols who were worshipped by millions all over

And saira banu said in a choked voice, " why do people have to worship and pray before idols when there is god in the form of a simple woman sitting here "

And dilip kumar said , "my search for god has ended . I have found my goddess . I hope we had many more goddesses like the mother .

The ugly world we have made would have been a beautiful world and even a heaven on earth "
