Famous singer composer Papon needs no introduction. Despite his strong hold in the music world, Papon is a down-to-earth artist who admires and respects artists from all walks of life. Recently, Papon met one of the biggest superstars of the South Indian film industry - Mohanlal.

That meeting happened suddenly in Guwahati, nothing was decided beforehand. As soon as the two came face to face, they greeted each other with a lot of love, which is evident in the pictures posted by the music star Papon. Papon introduced Mohanlal to the culture of Assam and also presented him a 'gamosa' of Assam.

Talking about this brief encounter with Mohanlal, Papon said, "It was lovely to meet a great and humble artist like Mohanlal..One day we suddenly met each other in an elevator and at my invitation he came to my room and I warmly welcomed him in my state.

Apparently, he told me that he was listening to my songs yesterday and then when we sat down to chat with each other, he appreciated my work and invited me to Kerala and promised to cook delicious Kerala food for me. Really, with his warmth, I felt like I was meeting my elder brother."

Filling hearts with his music, Papon enthralled the nation with his recently released 'Kahaani Koi' on Gulzar's birthday. Known as one of the most soulful singers, the versatile artist Papon enthralled the audience with the song, which celebrates the life of the veteran writer.

Their recent tracks such as, 'Maula', 'khidki, 'Siyahi', Jeevan, (Film Bala) and from the film '83' These are encouraging proofs that he knows how to get his listeners to listen to various songs of all genres .He has also taken care of his Assamese fanbase through his superhit offerings like 'Patigonit', 'Koi Nidiya Kiyaw ' and 'Roday Rodaale Sa'.
