Fatima Sana Shaikh Plays A Marathi Mulgi In Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari

Fatima Sana Shaikh, who shot to fame with her powerful performance in Dangal, will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar as a ‘Marathi mulgi’ in Abhishek Sharma’s upcoming directorial, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, a Zee Studios production, that is currently being shot in various locations in Mumbai.The actor has trained extensively with a language coach on her Marathi diction to mould herself into her character. A source informs, “Fatima did multiple readings with director Abhishek Sharma and worked on her body language to fit the role before the film went on floor. She has completely transformed herself for the film. The audiences will be in for a real treat!” Speaking on why he chose Fatima for this character, Abhishek Sharma shares, “Tulsi’s character has a dual personality for which we needed an actor who could play vulnerable, mysterious ad assertive with equal ease. Fatima is an excellent talent who has the quality to get into all these emotions at will.  She is extremely punctual, very involved and dedicated with her work. Her infectious enthusiasm keeps us all energized on the set!” Produced by Zee Studios, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, a family comedy set in the 90’s Mumbai, also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Manoj Bajpayee.Incidentally, it si for the frst time that all three of the actors- Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana have been pitted together in  the same film.
