To mark this year's International Yoga Day, Zee TV actors like Hemangi Kavi from Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, Adrija Roy from Kundali Bhagya, Maera Misshra from Bhagya Lakshmi, Karan Vohra from Main Hoon Saath Tere and Seerat Kapoor from Rabb Se Hai Dua shared the advantages they've experienced from practicing yoga, aiming to inspire their followers to make yoga a part of their daily routine. Maera Misshra who essays the role of Malishka in Zee TV’s Bhagya Lakshmi said, “Yoga is one of the most basic forms of exercise and I’ve been practicing it for almost 2 years now. It has helped me maintain my flexibility and core strength. Not only that, but I have realized, that ever since I have been practicing yoga, I have this positive energy in me all the time, which helps me deal with difficult situations with a calm approach. Lately, I have been taking my mental as well as physical health very seriously, and I think Yoga helps me balance between the two. Karan Vohra, who essays the role of Aryaman in Zee TV’s Main Hoon Saath Tere said, “Even though I am more of a hard-core gym person, Yoga is like my secret escape from the crazy hustle and bustle of life. It’s my way of recharging my body, mind, and soul, and gives me an immense energy boost. I generally meditate for 10-15 minutes every day in the morning with closed eyes and do box breathing for a fresh start to the day. I am more into cardio and weight training, and I visit to the gym for the same. I have recently started performing these basic Yoga exercises. Whenever I am tired, I try to meditate for some time in my makeup room as well and it refreshes my soul from within. I have been working on my ‘Shirshasana’ pose, it’s difficult to balance my body upside down but I hope I can achieve it soon.” Seerat Kapoor, who essays the role of Mannat in Zee TV’s Rabb Se Hai Dua said, “I found my love for yoga very recently. It was because of a friend that I started practicing yoga, and I feel I have never found anything so calming before. Yoga, for me, is that one time I set aside for myself, and for my well-being. It helps me prepare for the hectic day ahead. The pranayamas and asanas help me control my thoughts and align them toward the betterment of my mental and physical health. I usually prefer doing yoga in the morning for a peaceful beginning to my day. Additionally, yoga has significantly improved my flexibility and strength, which benefits my performance as an actor.
