First Song Of 'Gunwali Dulhaniya' Sai Qawwali - 'Dar Par Jo Tere Aaya' Released Today In Shirdi

The 1977 release ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ is still very fresh in the minds of the audiences as the songs of the film released way back 42 years ago are still as popular like then, especially the qawwali “Shirdiwale Saibaba…”. The audiences can expect a similar hit qawwali in the forthcoming film ‘Gunwali Dulhaniya’ which will remind them of the evergreen hit ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’.

Produced under the banner of Passionwoald Entertainments by producers Sarika Tambe, Kalpana Anant Tambe and Sanjana Vinod Tambe, the film has been directed by Shantanu Tambe, who had earlier directed Marathi films like ‘Majhi Shaala’ and ‘Yaari Dosti’ besides the Hindi film ‘Bhootwali Love Story’. Shantanu launch the qawwali song “Dar Par Jo Tere Aaya Woh Kabhi Khali Na Gaya…” at Shirdi Saibaba temple precincts in the presence of the entire team including the cast and crew of the film ‘Gunwali Dulhaniya’.

‘Gunwali Dulhaniya’ is a film which will scale great heights of comedy and the audiences will get to see and experience a fresh comedy in the film. According to the team of the film, the qawwali will rule the hearts of the audiences for times to come. The song which is part of the plot has been written by lyricist Shantanu Anant Tambe, sung by Anand Shinde and Ali Aslam and composed by Aslam Surti, who happens to be the nephew of the veteran music composer Ismail Darbar. Anand Shinde who is a popular singer in Marathi films has lent his voice for the first time for a film in Hindi. Shantanu who has directed the film has also written the subject of the film. Says Shantanu Anant Tambe, “The comic level of the romantic comedy film is of the first order and very high. It has been my endeavor to present a situational comedy through dialogues by linking hilarious happenings in the film. The qawwali song “Dar Par Jo Tere Aaya Woh Kabhi Khali Na Gaya…” will re mind the audiences of the 70’s especially the hit qawwali hit song in ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ which was written on Saibaba which is still popular even today. After listening to the qawwali in ‘Gunwali Dulhaniya’ the audiences will be ecstatic like then. It will not at all be fair to compare the qawwali of the 1977 film with this qawwali but then it will also not be forgotten easily by the audiences.

Slated for release all over India on May 3, 2019, ‘Gunwali Dulhaniya’ stars Kanchan Awasthi, Mayur Kumar, Elvis Chaturvedi, Tushar Acharya, Govind Namdeo, Brijendra Kala, Gajendra Chauhan, Shravani Goswami, Dolly Kaushik etc in different roles. Hitesh Beldar is the DOP while Mukesh Thakur is the Editor of the film while Aslam Surty has composed the background music for the film which has been shot in Uttar Pradesh as well as Nainital and other places nearby it.
