For florian hurel, discipline is the key to success

French hair and makeup artist Florian Hurel has worked with all the big Bollyood names. You name it and Florian has worked his charm to make them look the part. The talented artist spills the beans on what keeps him going on. The multi-talented artist, who has also worked with names such as Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, Sara Ali Khan and Yami Gautam, has to often work under strict deadlines and high pressure. But he always manages to give a fine output!

"It’s always very nice to work at that level of the industry. Biggest means being very sharp and to the point. Sometimes it is not only about your skillset but about an attitude. A way of being. Discipline is the key I feel," shares Florian. However, in his opinion, one actor has everything that it takes to carry any kind of look! "Deepika (Padukone) is one of them.

She can definitely wear and style herself very differently from time to time. I am going to work with her for the promo of her film and it’s already very exciting as I know we will do a very different look every day," says Florian, who worked with her during the promotions of Chhapaak. While getting the right look could be subjective and differ between an artist and an actor but to avoid any miscommunication Florian pays attention to every detail.

"I always listen to them very attentively and make sure I am in sync with what they imagine in the look and what is the team wanting to do too. Communication on the look is important it’s never about me wanting to execute a particular look it’s more about what will be the best for that particular moment or event. According to the entire look.It’s always teamwork at that level each artist has their ways of working. Some pre determinate the look before we reach. Some actors like to discuss with us," says the super talented artist, who recently worked with actor Anushka Sharma.

And what challenges does he come across while getting that perfect look?

"The main challenge is mostly you as an artist. What is important is to sometime forget what you really would like to do and more focus and what would work the best. So we don’t always do what we wish to do but more do for the look to be out there beautiful. No hair or makeup should overpower but to find the right balance between it all is the main challenge," says Florian, who also adds that he is personally fond of "out of the bed" look.
