“Frankly speaking, I am waiting for a call from Aamir Khan: Kunal Roy Kapur

Kunal Roy Kapur  talks about waiting to work with Aamir Khan, films, his ready to release next horror film,’ Mushkil where he plays  the ,’ Guide”, bonding of all the three brothers  and giving space to wives. In an exclusive rendezvous with lipika Varma

Kunal Roy Kapur started his filmy career appearing in Indian soap ,” Just Mohabbat”<2001>  thereafter did a cameo role in Lions Of Punjab Presents opposite Shabana Azmi and Ishita Sharma. Also is known for having done six episodes of British Indian Comedy series titled “Mumbai Calling “But the most sort out role in Delhi Belly <2011> alongside Imran Khan and Vir Das  brought him to lime light .We recently met Kunal Roy Kapur at the music launch of his latest to release film ,” “Mushkil”  a horror film produced by Ravinder Jeet Dariya,directed by Rajeev Ruia and other star cast –Rajneesh Duggal with other new found actresses.

Kunal Roy Kapoor excelled in his role in Delhi Belly thus proving himself a good performer, however, since then he has done a few films but right now when asked if he has signed any films? giving a honest answer he says,’ My latest horror film,”Mushkil’ today being the music launch, is the only one film which is all set to release.Howver, I have web series …apart from that I have not signed any film as of now.’

Adding further about ‘Mushkil” being a horror genre film,’ Mushkil “this one titled “Mushkil”  is a main stream horror film ,it is also a  commercial horror film. Hopefully, it reaches the audiences well. I play the role of a guide in the film. A few girls are on a holiday trip to a foreign and I am the only one guide who can converse in Hindi as well the language of that foreign land. Thus they decide to engage my sevices.What happens thereafter ,the story slowly unfolds the mystery.

Does Kunal Roy Kapur not believe in meeting producers and asking for roles? Has he met Aamir Khan for work we quiz next? I am not that kind of person who will go about asking for roles. I feel everyone knows I am around. And they all know and have seen my work. I do not wish to go and pressurize them to give me nay roles. Also since you asked if I have met Aamir Khan for work.?? Frankly speaking, I am waiting for a call from him.I am of the opinion that socializing can never get you films. I don’t believe in socializing much.”

Last but not the least the love and bond between the three  “Roy” brothers Siddharth Roy Kapoor,Kunal Roy Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor is unquestionable so what all you do to keep the brotherly bonding going strong? Smiles aloud and says,’ Once in a while we all three brothers lie to travel all by ourselves. We two, leave our wives back home and go out enjoying the brotherly love, effection and bonding. The latest is -we have just returned from London. All three of us whenever together love to watch cricket which has been our favorite sport right from are youth hood days. We also discuss on our work with Siddharth our elder brother. He discusses about Aditya’s work front and also about me. Though we always find work for ourselves. We do not look forward for any kind of recommendation from Siddharth.

Adding further ---Leaving our wives behind…back home,’ I guess they too were happy co”s they also got some free time of their own and  must have enjoyed their personal space in our absence. We are very friendly husbands I may confess. Thus our friendly relationship with our wives is helping us keep our marriage going …marriage is understanding each other and giving ample of space to each other.” he concludes.
