FRESH: KRITI AND DILJIT TO PAIR UP FOR DINESH VIJAN’S NEXT

Hold your breaths as we might’ve just witnessed the most interesting pairing of 2017 as Bareilly Ki Barfi actor Kriti Sanon is all set to star opposite Diljit Dosanjh in filmmaker Dinesh Vijans next project, Arjun Patiala.
The producer of successful films like Love Aaj Kal, Cocktail, Badlapur and Hindi Medium, Dinesh Vijan confirmed the news band said, “The Hindi film audience has already experienced Diljit’s intensity, now it’s time to laugh with him.”

Kriti, who will share screen space with Diljit for the first time, said, “I love watching good comedies and while shooting for Bareilly Ki Barfi I realised that I enjoyed being a part of this world too. I’m looking forward to shooting with Diljit.”

This is not the first time Kriti will be collaborating with director Dinesh Vijan. The two have previously worked in the romantic thriller Raabta, which also featured Sushant Singh Rajput. Meanwhile, Diljit is also prepping up for Shaad Ali’s next, based on the life of Indian Hockey player Sandeep Singh. While the film isn’t a biopic, it explores an important chapter of Sandeep’s life which would be portrayed by Diljit. It also stars Taapsee Pannu, who plays his on-screen love interest.
Dinesh Vijan’s directorial Arjun Patiala is a rom-com which will have Kriti essaying the the role of a journalist while Diljit will play a quirky, small-town guy. The film is a content-driven comedy and will roll in February 2018.
