Now-a- days promotions have become a compulsory part of a release of the film and Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Pad Man is no different. The release of a Superhero film Pad Man is just one week away and actor Akshay Kumar is leaving no stone unturned to promote his upcoming social drama and also spread awareness about menstrual hygiene. From interviews to press conferences to social media promotions, the Pad Man team is doing every possible thing to challenge the stigma around periods during the promotions of  Pad Man.

To promote the film, actors Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor have collaborated with various YouTube channels to spread the message that there is no reason to shy away from discussing periods and related issues or hide away the fact that women bleed. Producer of the film and actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna also started a social media movement, #PadManChallenge by posing with a with a sanitary pad and tagged her industry friends to take it forward from there as a part of the social media promotions.

The socially relevant drama based on the life of Menstrual Man of India, Arunachalam Muruganantha is all set to release on 9 February. The film directed by R. Balki, features Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in lead roles.
