Who would have imagined that a simple thing like film entertainment would take such sinister turn in such a short time?

Who could have imagined that the kind of entertainment we now see on the OTT platforms would pose a threat to our families, to society and to the country? Why are we being forced to see bold films which are actually indecent films(sorry if I am offending those who don't agree with me), with the excuse of portraying the realities of life?

Aren't there enough stories in the country of the Mahabharata and the Ramayana to tell our mostly illiterate and innocent people that we have to tell them stories that get them addicted to sheer vulgarity and the rape of language?

These are just some of the questions that are agitating the minds of millions of people who are getting increasingly trapped into the vicious net and weg of the OTT platforms.

It all began when films and web series were exempted from the scissors of the censor and now just within two years the OTT platforms are showing the kind of films that border on blue films.

The OTT platforms were still in their formative stages and it was a new and exciting experience for those who sought easy and cheap entertainment.

But, then came corona and the resulting pandemic and the recurring lockdowns and people had no means of finding entertainment because all avenues like single screen theatres, multiplexes and auditorials were shut and people had to stay at home and watch films of any and every kind.

And when the hungry audience found these hot and bold films and songs and dances, they couldn't resist the temptation of watching them again and again and it became a way of life to watch these bold films at home and even in the company of children who had nothing to do because their schools and colleges were shut down.

This grim situation became a pleasure for those who made these bold films and there was no authority and no law to stop them and they kept growing bolder with every ambitious and not so ambitious bold films they made. And that bold trend continues to this day and people are lapping it up. Isn't it time to take stop of the situation and see what can be done about a devil who has almost reached half way?

KYA SOOCHNA AUR PRASARAN MANTARALAYA MODI JI KE AASHIRWAD SE IS SAMASYA KO ROK NAHI SAKTE?

The Governments at the centre and in the States have all kinds of projects to lure the people, then why can't they have some kind of a project that will either tame these bold films on the OTT platforms before they go too far and drown us all in the dangerous Blue river of no return?

It is Wednesday and i am passing through a chuch in mahim in central mumbai where they say miracle are worked.

But i stopped outside the church when i hear and old priest preaching to a limited audience of 50 people and pleading with them to keep their children away from their TV sets and especially their Mobiles where they are regularly watching "Dirty films which are a sin, which will surely send them to hell".

The priest looks highly disturbed and is almost on the verge of tears when he sees no reactions on the faces of his people. But it is his duty to preach and so he goes on preaching.

Han lekin OTT par kuch achi filme bhi dikhai ja rhi hai jaise Mirzapur, Ashram,the family man or haal hi mein dikhayi gayi do filme, Subash Ghai ki "36 farm house" aur Anand Tiwari ki "Bandish bandits" jisame Nasiruddin Shah ne bhi ek ahem bhumika nibhai hai.

Deepika ne apne hisse ki bold scenes sab ek hi film "Gehraiyan" mein kar di aur desh puch raha hai ki aur wo kya kya karegi sachchai ke naam par.
