Gaurav Sharma Is Now Gearing Up For His Digital Debut

Gaurav Sharma, who will be making his web debut with the web series Poison. Talking about the same, he says, “It’s is my web debut. Well, it’s a zee5 original series, basically, it’s a suspense thriller which has a very powerful cast including Arbaaz Khan, Freddy Daruwala, Riya Sen, Romit Raj and Sakshi Pradhan,” he says, adding, “I am playing a cop man named Pawan, who is trying to make some money. He is like a deemak jo dheere dheere sab kha jaata hai.”The actor says that the digital platform has a bright future. “The web is the future because the content is good and you don't have to wait every day at a particular time to watch the shows, so I feel it’s great,” he says.In fact, the content is also better on the web, says the actor. “It will become more realistic and bold. There are going to be stories which could have never been shown on TV or in films due to censorship and other limitations but with the web, it’s possible now,” he says.Ask him if he feels that TV viewership will decrease because of the web, and he says, “I don't think so. TV has its own audience, especially women and people who love daily dramas. They will continue watching it.”Content on the web is quite bold. However, the actor says if such sequences are not backed by strong content, then he will not do it. “Being an actor, I can do anything but it depends on story mein sex hai ya sex mein story? If the story demands bold scenes then I will do what I am comfortable with but if its only sex which is being shown, I will probably not do it at all!” he says.
