Sony Entertainment Television's India’s Best Dancer is creating the right buzz for its content and high entertainment quotient. It’s touted to be the most popular show on Indian television for the novelty and variety in performances by its dynamic contestants. This weekend, the audience will be in for a treat as the show will welcome actor-dancer Nora Fatehi, who has carved a niche for herself with her talent. Moreover, the episode will highlight some “Pol Khol” moments of contestants and judges. The viewers will witness many fun anecdotes, and hilarious acts by contestants.
One such performance by contestant Raj Sharma, who hails from Gwalior, along with choreographer Vaibhav took judge Geeta Kapur completely by surprise. Raj played his own Mama in the act, whereas Vaibhav was dressed as Geeta Ma. The act depicted the fictitious love story of Raj’s Mamaji and Geeta Ma on the song “Chammak Challo”. She found the concept amusing and couldn’t stop laughing. Looking at the performance, even Malaika Arora was in splits. Terence Lewis and Geeta Kapur were shocked and could not believe what happened on the stage. Geeta Kapur said, “I thought it was very cute, I really liked looking at Vaibhav in this avatar.
If this is how I dance and look on stage, then I consider that a lot of talent. I really felt good seeing myself on stage today, Vaibhav took up the character so well that he even resembled me but oh no I look this (laughs). I really liked Raj’s performance, too, as I have not seen someone doing an act on me. Initially it just threw me off a bit, but overall, it was really good.” Malaika added, “Vaibhav, you are a very good dancer. We saw a different avatar of yours and you danced in an uninhibited way with the costume and wig that you are wearing. It was a beautiful ode to Geeta. Raj has a perfect comic timing, it was a thoroughly entertaining act. Great job guys!”
When Geeta asked Choreographer Vaibhav on how he felt portraying her on stage, and he shared,, “It was difficult and a big responsibility as I had to portray Geeta Ma, who is a huge name in the industry. I really enjoyed it because this is the first time that I have done something like this, and essayed you, on stage.”Watch a series of entertaining performances and fun moments on India’s Best Dancer this Saturday and Sunday, 8PM on Sony Entertainment Television!
