Glamour-Heroine "Kirti Kulhari--Wants To Play Maharani Gayatri Devi In A Bio-Pic"

Charmingly winsome Bollywood actress Kirti Kulhari  who played the title-role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Indu Sarkar’  has no ego-issues co-starring in this multi-heroine ensemble ‘Mission Mangal’ with Akshay Kumar as the protagonist. Counters Kirti, “ In fact,  I have always insisted that even in a multi-starrer ensemble cast, I believe I am playing a well-defined character because I don’t believe in the star-hierarchy. Actually I feel  rather embarrassing to claim that I am playing the lead, which I will never do. Because it de-motivates passionate actors like me who believe more in good performances,” shrugs Kirti  who refuses to be role-repetitive. “

Like if I am approached to play an Air-Force Pilot similar to  the one I played in ‘Uri-The Surgical Strike’ , I would possibly decline the offer.  Although I had limited scenes in ‘Uri…’, I had put in immense hard work and I was well-appreciated,” shares Kirti who feels proud that she is a part of ‘Mission Mangal’ “That’s because through this landmark movie, not only me, hamari Bharat desh ki janata will be enlightened about India’s phenomenal achievement in space-science (‘Mangalyaan’-Mars Orbiter Mission ), it will generate a sense of patriotic pride and  also pitch woman empowerment. Secondly, I am playing a gritty space-scientist, which I have not done before,” justifies the ‘Pink’  heroine Kirti who will also be seen in Amazon web-series ‘Four More Shots Please’ ( she plays a lawyer facing a marital crisis)  and ‘The Girl on The Train’ (as a British cop). Quiz her on whose bio-pic she would love to be cast in, Kirti instantly replies, “Maharani Gayatri Devi”.
