Global ‘covers’ sensation Rego B re-assures to carry on legacy of iconic grandpa-Gurudev Bappi Lahiri !

In an aura of strong emotional sentimental memories of his legendary musical icon grandfather ‘late’ Bappi-da Lahiri, 13-year old global Rego B,  launched his sensational album , which  has ‘covers’ of western global chartbusters ,  The chhota sensation Rego B is the super-talented son of   (Bappi-da’s daughter) Rema Lahiri and Govind Bansal. will create pop-history as being the first and the youngest Indian artiste which  has brilliant ‘cover-versions’ of western global chartbusters.Besides Rego’s parents Rema and Govind, also present was ( Bappi-da’s wife) grandma Chitrani Lahiri.

The celeb guests turn-out included singers Sunidhi Chauhan, Alka Yagnik, and Sense Rapper . Also making their glam-presence felt were beautiful multi-lingual beautiful ‘evergreen’ star heroine Rituparna Sengupta and  charming actress Anusmriti Sarkar—both of whom have acted in the Rema Lahiri-Govind Bansal upcoming home production romantic comedy movie ‘ Khubsoorat Padosan’.

All of the well-wishers  sentimentally came together to   launch the first song in the album titled “Superstitious x Rego”. Not only did  Alka and Sunidhi sing a few lines, but they also shared secrets of their “personal superstitions” .All the songs in the album are the covers of global chartbusters. Rego happens to the first and the only singer in India who has introduced this unique concept. Shot with a live band, the youngest rock star of India has sworn and resolved to put India on the global musical map

With  enthusiasm in his voice singer-composer Rego said, “No one has ever released an album that has cover-tracks of  Justin Bieber, Freddie Mercury, Adele, Stevie Wonder, Charlie Puth, Bruno Mars and Bryan Adams all the legends in the international music scenes and many more globally renowned artists songs. I believe my grandfather is watching over me and blessing me that today I am sincerely doing good innovative work, “ asserted Rego as he interacted with the invited guests.

Not at all camera-shy, Rego is a confident super-talented smart music-savvy kid.   Almost everyone present observed that Rego B aka Swastik Bansal ( real name)  shares an uncanny resemblance with the music maestro Bollywood composer-singer late  Bappi-da Lahiri. Rego who is just 13, stormed the Indian music scenes with his single Bachcha Party which crossed five  million views and even made a confident appearance with his grandfather on Salman Khan's Bigg Boss, Sa Re Ga Ma, Dance India Dance with Madhuri Dixit Nene and Indian Idol where he sang Disco Dancer songs.. Rego who started singing at the tender age of two, credits his grandfather Bappi-da  for his passionate interest in Western and classical music. An academic student, an international star Rego B who is juggling his studies along with music, confesses that “it indeed is difficult, however it’s worth it when music is a crazy passion”. He is born in a family of musicians and Rego is the fourth generation.  When he was two years old, he started his training in music from his mother and grandfather.  Rego is studying music from RSL Rock Music of London and taking professional training under the singer and music coach Yvie Burnett who is the coach of Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran and many more celebrated global singers. An actor by passion, Rego can sing is seven languages that is Italian, Spanish, English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu and in Rap mode. He also sang Despacito in Spanish in his cover. Rego also singes Bhajans, Shlokas and Ganesh Vandans and Hanuman Chalisa. His Bollywood favorites are Arijit Singh, Badshah and Raftaar. From the age of four, he started performing live on stage with his grandfather, Bappi Lahiri. Apart from Bachcha Party, he has also lent his fantastic vocals to “Football is My Dream’ (2018), Kal Chutti Hai’ (2021) and many more.

Taking the musical legacy forward, Rego is the fourth generation of musician in Lahiri family, his great grandparents Aparesh Lahiri and Bansari Lahiri who was among the the First Lady musicians, Bappi Lahiri, Rema and brother Bappa Lahiri and now Rego.

Despite being academically quite busy, Rego has taken an oath to make his family and his country proud and bring international fame and glory.
