Goco Is An Ad And Short Film Contest To Unleash The Storyteller In You

GOCO aka Global Online Cine Olympiad is an ad and short film contest, which aims to provide an equal opportunity to participants from different walks of life to make films on any given theme in 60 hours time frame. Citizens across the globe having zeal to accept the challenge of making a film in the prescribed time limit can participate in the competition. Top five films in each category would receive awards, trophies and Certificates. Submitted entries would be judged by a distinguished panel comprising of eminent and renowned jury members from the film fraternity.

Event organizer, Dev Avinash Taneja has announced the names of the jury members and details of the events to be held regarding this cine contest.  Rakesh Kumar (Director of hit films like Mr. Natwarlal, Do Aur Do Paanch, Khoon Pasina, Yaraana etc), Robin Bhatt (writer of Aashiqui, Sadak, Bazigar, Duplicate, Major Saab and Krishh fame) and Imtiyaz Hussain (writer of Parinda, Annarth, Astitva, Vaastav and Ghulam-e-Mustafa fame) were present on the occasion.

The jury members appreciated the team of GOCO and stated that this is the platform required the most in this digital world. Jaineeraj Rajpurohit, who is also one of the organizers, has informed the panel that GOCO has planned to visit many cities to hold seminars and spread the word about this ad film and short film contest. He announced that the first seminar will be held in an auditorium of Guwahati, where screening of a few short films would also be held. The GOCO Season I competition is scheduled to be held on 26^th April, 2019. Winners would receive the awards in an award function in Mumbai during 3^rd week of May.The whole process of selection of films, nominations and announcement of winners would be transparent and instant updates would be provided on the website of the project which is currently under process.

The people behind GOCO are a team of dedicated and experienced professionals (Editor Arindam Taneja, Screen writer Dhananjay Kumar, Director Naresh Patel, Documentary filmmaker Kabita Boro, Producer Manoj Sharma, Graphic Designer Sabindu Taneja, Creative Director Prayag Adhikari/Kritika Luthra, Festival Co-ordinator Mohan Das, Veteran film journalist Jyothi Venkatesh, Event Manager Radhika Taneja and Filmmaker Manas Adhikari) aiming to provide a suitable platform to aspiring filmmakers. Participants across the globe get an opportunity to showcase their creativity and talent. The platform aims to serve as launch pad for the participants to bring their work and talent to the notice of filmmakers and advertising companies. Interested participants can enroll their names and teams and win the awards. Award winning entries and their film links would be shared with interested organizations and spectrum of media for promotions.
