Tamanna Bhatia's Desire: Having gone through the emotional pain of a breakup with her 2-year-old boyfriend, actor Vijay Varma, the stunning actress Tamanna Bhatia has now revealed her heartfelt wish. She said that she would love to portray the role of the late, legendary actress Sridevi, who was often referred to as the "first female superstar" of the entertainment industry.

The Super Iconic Actress

When Tamanna was asked which actress' character she would like to play on screen in her career, she mentioned the iconic actress Sridevi. She said, “I would love to play Sridevi’s role. She was super iconic, and she is someone I have always been a fan of.”

Now, it remains to be seen which director or project will fulfill Tamanna’s wish to portray the legendary actress.

About Sridevi

Sridevi is considered the 'first female superstar' of Indian cinema. She touched every genre of filmmaking, from comedy to family dramas. Although she is no longer with us today, her incredible films continue to live in our hearts. She passed away in 2018, but her legacy lives on through her timeless performances.

Sridevi acted in numerous popular films throughout her career, such as Solva Sawan (1979), Sadma (1983), Himmatwala (1983), Mr. India (1987), Nagina (1987), Nigahen (1989), Lamhe (1991), Khuda Gawah (1992), Laadla (1994), Judaai (1997), English Vinglish (2012), and Mom (2017). Mom was her final film, released in 2017. Sridevi worked not only in Hindi cinema but also in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada films.

Tamanna’s Workfront

As for Tamanna’s work front, she was last seen in the 2024 film ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar’, directed by Neeraj Pandey. In the film, she starred alongside Avinash Tiwary, Jimmy Sheirgill, Rajeev Mehta, and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.

Tamanna will soon be seen in Odela 2, directed by Ashok Teja. Odela is based on real events that took place in the village of Odela, Telangana.
