That’s because this Rajput girl who off-screen is rumoured to be courting (her Baaghi-2 co-star) macho lover-boy hero Tiger Shroff, yes Disha that is, has no filmy background at all. Not many are aware that Disha’s original ambition was to “become an air-force pilot” .

Interestingly, Disha has studied engineering and her father, Jagdish Singh Patani is a police officer and her mother is a health inspector.

Her elder sister, Khushboo is an Indian Army Officer. Personally, she confides that she has always enjoyed watching Salman Khan movies in theatres.

Even otherwise their family would go to watch a Hindi movie every Saturday. Among Disha’s favourite Salman-starrers is Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Wanted which she has seen multiple times in theatres.

Speaking to the news-media about her co-star Salman Khan, the candid Disha is all praise for his unassuming supportive nature.

She says” although Salman-sir is a super-star. he is so unassuming, has a comical, witty nature and loves to make people smile and laugh.

That made it comfortable for me during the shoot of both ‘Bharat’ where I played Radha Mathur and now ‘Radhe’ where I play this exuberant extrovert top-model Diya Abhyankar in this action-thriller with flashes of comedy.

This is the first time I am acting in a movie (Radhe) which has romantic-comedy in my scenes and our director Prabhudeva-Sir was very helpful in bringing out the best in me.”

When asked about her dream roles, the multiple award-winning actress Disha ( for her terrific performance in the M.S. Dhoni bio-pic movie) has shared with the news-media that one of them is “to play a superhero” !
