GUESS WHO'S IN BEAUTY QUEEN SHAHNAZ HUSSAIN'S BIOPIC!

Puja Bedi, daughter of famed producer Bobby Bedi is all set to roll out a biopic on beauty baroness Shahnaz Husain and the film's casting has been generating all the right noises. Earlier there was a buzz that Priyanka Chopra has been approached to play the titular role but due to her prior Hollywood commitments, PeeCee is unable to sign the film. Now, if latest reports are to be believed, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has roped in for the film!

An entertainment portal confirmed that director Pooja Bedi and scriptwriter for the biopic Kamlesh Pandey feel that Aishwarya will do justice to the part. In an interview, Kamlesh revealed about his first choice and said, "Aishwarya was always our first choice." He also added that two other contemporary actresses expressed a keen desire to essay the role of Hussain, which spans from the age of 16 to 60. "But we want the tehzeeb and ada of the character to reflect in the actor’s DNA. The vocabulary certainly could not be that of the Facebook and Twitter generation. Aishwarya is perfect, keeping in mind all these prerequisites," he said.

Scriptwriter Kamlesh also praised Ash's acting skills and talking about her potential said, "She has immense potential in comparison to the opportunities that have come her way. Bollywood has been too preoccupied by Aishwarya Rai’s beauty to challenge the actor in her."

The film will be based on Husain’s daughter, Nelofar Currimbhoy’s biography on her mother titled, Flame: The Inspiring Life Of My Mother, of which Bedi acquired the rights last year.
