Gulki Joshi: theater is always being my first love and in periods of time

Question - when are you coming back and how are you?

Answer - Thank you everybody for your concerns and I am all fine. I have also got my much-awaited break and I am back from my vacation, but this time I am doing a play as the theater is always being my first love and in periods of time. I push myself towards theater to polish my crafts and skills. Recently I have signed up for a play with a storyline which is very light-hearted and has a very different script from my all other show, I am nervous to present you my live show for the first time and it is dated as 27th of August, Balvandhar in Bombay so I request my audience that who so ever wants to see my work live on stage please join me in Bombay even the exclusive details will be shared soon.

Question - As we all know that the vibes of theaters are different from the sets of the show, so what was my experience as a theater artist?

Answer - I have come up from a theater background back from my college time and that is the place from where I got my major training from and the most important difference between the camera and the theater is that we do not get the another take to correct your mistake so you have to correct the mistakes on the spot without letting the audience your mistake, accordingly the boost of energy on stage is so huge that it cannot translate on the camera, similarly the fiber like details which we present you through camera cannot be seen in theaters. So in the work of theater, it is very important for us to take care that from the person sitting in the first row to the person sitting in last row could hear me out, see my expression and could feel me so all it is a game changer. But when we switch between theater to TV or the other way that transition is so beautiful, according to me these things enhance your skills so I personally like shuffling between the theater and the camera and it makes me so excited.

Question – beside theater are there any other projects or shows that you are planning to sign?

Answer - Honestly, I am getting offers from the other show but according to me the imprint of the character from Madam Sir is so strong that every often show gets blur. Personally, there is no motive to offend someone but I find my character from the show Madam Sir challenging, to be honest, I found a spark in this character eventually I was a bit nervous to perform as Haseena Malik. I am happy to get such a challenging character but for now, I am just focusing towards the theater as it gives me feels like home to me.

Question - There are many complaints on social media and people ask when is season 2 coming?

Answer - This is the main reason to take a break from social media because it is the main reason when you guys demand for season 2 which breaks my heart as I do not have a proper answer for it, and I am as clueless as you but as soon I will getting the details regarding it I will surely notify you guys.

Question- There will be a lot of memories of the set, do you miss it?

Answer - I surely miss the set the co-stars and all the moments we use to enjoy on the set, but the best part was when the fans use to come on the set to meet me.

Question - Would you like to say something to the fans about your theatre?

Answer - I really appreciate all the love that I have received it gives me strength, I am glad that even after my inactiveness on social media I receive great love from my fans and I am sure that I would get the same appreciation for my upcoming play. And for now, talking about the risk of theater, I am ready to take it because first of all I am ready to take such a risk and secondly I know that my fans are here to support me and I get as adventurous as they are always ready to support me as the way I am and they are always ready to accept that they follow my heart and take such risks. As an actor, I am in very much support of theater and I am in full support of this culture back. I know that we have come up with many more facilities like OTT, and different kinds of series but according to me it is a different kind of vibe when we take out some time from our routine to go out with our family and to interchange the energy between the audience and the characters and as a culture, it should not die so as an actor I am doing my best to keep this vibe alive and for this, I need your support and I want to perform more plays like these, to develop this culture in many other cities as we want more places to go around other than malls with your family.
