Gurbani Gill is quite a fitness enthusiast. The actor says that she has also included martial arts in her fitness programme. “About three to four years ago, I started going to the gym. But this year, I have started focusing on it more and I also started doing martial arts,” she says.
Talking about her fitness regime, she adds, “I always begin with stretching at the gym. Then, I do a different variety of exercises. I prefer both Yoga as well as working out at the gym. When I am free, I go to the gym. And when I am shooting or I am tired or not feeling well, then I do yoga. I devote a maximum of 45 minutes to the gym.”
Gurbani follows a strict diet plan too. “In the morning, I have a healthy breakfast. I have a smoothie made up of banana, strawberries, cinnamon, and skim milk. After that, I have a toast with avocado spread on it and boiled eggs. At lunchtime, I eat brown rice with chicken or dal. I don't have a heavy dinner. I eat boiled eggs or salad or otherwise a glass of milk is enough. Throughout the day, I drink a lot of water and juices. Fruits, yogurt, and juices are an essential part of my diet too,” she says, adding, “I also drink vitamin c sachets by mixing in water so that I remain hydrated.
Ask her what is her mantra to staying fit, and she says, “Stay fit and eat healthily. I think fitness is important to have good looks. When you are fit, you look good. You don't need to have 6-pack abs rather you need to look presentable. I think fitness adds to your good looks.”
