‘Half Ticket’ produced by Video Palace and directed by Samit Kakkad has engraved its name on many National and International awards. Now adding another feather to its cap, ‘Half Ticket’ is set to release in China, making it the first Marathi film to do it. The film is schedule to release later this year in china and will be released with Chinese subtitles.‘Half Ticket’ is the remake of the National award winning Tamil film ‘Kaaka Muttai’and has received tremendous response from movie lovers and festival audiences alike.The movie released in 2016 was not only commended at various film festivals but also won many awards, The beautiful acting of two child artists Shubham More and Vinayak Potdar has been well supported by veterans Bhau Kadam, Priyanka Bose, Usha Naik, Shashank Shende, Jaywant Wadkar and Kailash Waghmare & Cinematography is done by Sanjay Memane. The film traces the story of two brothers, their grit and struggles and their momentary worldly pleasures Producer Nanubhai Jaisinghani said “This is not just great news for us, but the entire Marathi film industry. We are extremely happy that this gem of a film will reach many more” Director Samit Kakkad added saying “As a filmmaker I am overjoyed with the idea of reaching out to larger audiences. I am happy that the journey of ‘Half Ticket’ continues and also paves the way for more films in China”
