Kareena’s first experimental role came when she played a prostitute in Sudhir Mishra’s film Chameli in 2004. The film also stars Rahul Bose and Rinke Khanna. Known for her glamor and grace, Kareena effortlessly transformed into a street-smart prostitute with all the confidence and shamelessness required for this role. Kareena’s performance in the film received widespread critical praise. She also received the Special Jury Award and the Special Jury Filmfare Award for her performance in Stardust.

Talaash

After Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots, Aamir Khan worked with Kareena for the second time in Reena Kagti’s film Talaash: The Answer Lies Within. Reema co-wrote this film with Zoya Akhtar. The film also featured Rajkummar Rao, Rani Mukherjee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He also received the Stardust Performer of the Year award for this film.

Udta Punjab

Kareena played the role of a young doctor in Abhishek Chaubey’s film Udta Punjab. She starred in the film alongside Diljit Dosanjh and won hearts with her portrayal of a simple woman trying her best to save her home state from the drug menace. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Diljit Dosanjh and Shahid Kapoor.
