HASEENA TO SAINA, SHRADDHA’S DOING IT ALL

The 30-year-old actress who started her career with a flop, Teen Patti, in 2010 but later got huge success with the Bhatt-camp feature Aashiqui-2 with Aditya Roy Kapoor is all set to do two back-to-back biopics.

The OK Jaanu actress is all set to play the part of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar in the film  Haseena, which is currently in production and will hopefully hit the theatres this year. The actress also confirmed her role in another biopic which is untitled at the moment but is slated to be based on Saina Nehwal's life with Shraddha essaying the lead role.

According to a report by Times of India, Shraddha is super excited for the role. I feel so lucky to be playing Saina, who has not just been the world’s no.1 badminton player, but is also a youth icon. I can’t wait to start prepping for my role,” Said the actress.

Shraddha Kapoor has begun training in badminton for the role. A sports lover, Shraddha, has played football, basketball, handball and badminton in her school days.

The film on Nehwal will be directed by Amol Gupte, who has previously directed Stanley Ka Dabba and Hawa Hawaai. The film is slated for a 2018 release.
