The popular airline SpiceJet has dedicated a special passenger aircraft livery to honour the unparalleled contribution of actor Sonu Sood for his efforts in helping millions of stranded Indians, both within and outside India.
The airline unveiled a special livery with an image of the actor wrapped on its Boeing 737 aircraft with the text “A salute to the saviour Sonu Sood” The debonair actor-model responded with ,” It reminds me of my journey from Moga (Punjab) to Mumbai on an unreserved ticket. Thank You for this honour,” SpiceJet and Sonu Sood had collaborated since the beginning of the pandemic last year (2020) to work closely to help repatriate thousands of stranded Indians who were stuck abroad.
As part of this collaboration, more than 1500 Indian students stranded in Kyrgyzstan and hundreds of Indian nationals stuck in Russia, Uzbekistan among other countries were repatriated to India.
