HERE'S WHAT MADE ALIA BHATT NERVOUS WHILE SHOOTING WITH HER MOTHER FOR 'RAAZI'

Alia Bhatt's upcoming movie Raazi is a period thriller film which is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel 'Calling Sehmat', which is about an Indian spy married to a Pakistani military officer during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The movie features Vicky Kaushal along with Alia Bhatt in lead role.

 

From Student of the year to many challenging roles in movies like Dear Zindagi, Highway, Udta Punjab, the actress is now going to share screen space with her mother Soni Razdan for the first time.

 

According to a leading daily, during a recent media interaction she spoke about her experience while working with her mother. She said, “I was nervous not for myself but for her. I hoped my mother had memorised all the dialogues. I would get nervous if she forgot her dialogues. Obviously, she has worked for far longer than I have and she is a much better actor than I am and she was so chilled out. We were in Kashmir and we had a great time. It was a beautiful experience.”

 

Talking about her role in the movie, Alia said, "It’s a true story and is the first time I will be playing a real-life character, so that comes with a sense of responsibility. I hope there is right amount of representation so that people understand what this character went through.”

The trailer is getting huge response from the viewers. The movie released its first song 'Ae Watan' which also seems promising with its soul-stirring yet simple lyrics by Gulzar.

Raazi is slated to release on May 11th.
