DJ Diplo and Shah Rukh Khan's collaboration for the song Phurrr is breaking the internet even before it's release. Ever since the news of this interesting collaboration came out, fans have been waiting anxiously to groove to its beats. However, this news might hit all you fans hard. The team of Jab Harry Met Sejal has planned to devise a new business strategy for the song and listeners who want to be among the first to listen to the song will have to pay for it.

Sony Music India has been planning to create a new trend and Phurrr is presumably a warm up for the listeners who will now have to pay to get the access of the music via subscriptions. The President of Sony Music India and Middle East Sridhar Subramaniam said in a statement:

"The concept of ‘everything free' will change or rather needs to change to an ecosystem where some things will be free and other things will be paid. The reason ‘Phurrr' was chosen is that it is the biggest project of the year with an international collaboration. So, we felt that if we are taking this step then we must do it with a very big song.We needed a big project with a must-listen song that had so much anticipation. We're inserting a paid window in the music business which didn't exist prior to this."

This initiative from Sony Music India could spark a trend that other music companies could follow in order to bag more profits from their music rights. Let's see, how fans respond to this news!
