Himesh Reshammiya Says Why He Is Indebted To Salman Khan For His Singing Career

Judges Himesh Reshammiya, Alka Yagnik and Javed Ali who are all set to bring in Sony Entertainment Television’s new kids singing reality show Superstar Singer premiering 29th June were seen on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show. With such legendary singers gracing the sets, the viewers are in for a musical weekend viewing. Excited for the upcoming show, the judges graciously spoke about the talent one will get to see followed by sharing some great moments from their time in the music industry. While everyone spoke about their musical journey, it was Himesh’s story that caught the audience’s attention including Kapil Sharma. It was revealed on the show that for Himesh, music was just a hobby but it was Bollywood ultimate, ‘Bhai’ and Dabaang superstar Salman Khan who advised Himesh to turn his hobby in to a career.

A source from the set reveals, “It was interesting to know how Salman Khan was one of the prime reasons for Himesh Reshammiya entering the music industry and giving us chart breaking numbers which the nation hymns to. It definitely worked wonders for him and Himesh has come a long way since then.”Himesh further revealed that never in his thoughts did he think of singing or composing and is forever grateful to Salman for advising him and helping his hobby turn into a successful career.Himesh Reshammiya Judge on Superstar Singer, also mentioned “Salman Khan plays a very important role in my success in the music industry. When I was a 16-year-old boy, I had no realization that I would end up choosing a career path in music. It was when my father locked Salman Khan for one of his projects, he asked me to compose music for his movie.”

He then said that the way the Khan family believed in him and helped him reach where he is today, he would like to take the similar role and give a chance to real talent. In other highlights, it was his co-judge, Alka Yagnik ji who sang his very first song.Superstar Singer is a platform for young talent, giving the nation the, ‘Singing ka Kal’. A talent hunt laced with the excitement for a one-of-its-kind reality show, Superstar Singer will showcase the talent under the age of 15years. The show will see Himesh Reshammiya, Javed Ali and Alka Yagnik as the 3 judges. Along with them will be four captains- Salman Ali, Jyotica Tangri, Nitin Kumar and Sachin Valmiki.
