My favorite saying is 'Andhere main aankh maari toh kya khaak maari ' . I think it's so relevant to everything which I explain to my associates at my work.
It's like when you do something you make sure that it's visible to the people in general or your target audience. It's almost like a marketing thing.
Shehzada Dhami
I like the saying tere Muh mein Ghee Shakkar. Whenever we want something good to happen we express our intention and this saying expresses the positive intention.

Hearty greetings to all Hindi speaking and Hindi lovers on Hindi Diwas. And talking about my favourite sayings/kahawat in Hindi is definitely Behti Ganga mai haath Dho lo. That is something I totally believe in. I always believe in making use of / drawing to benefit from favorable situations.

"Jab okhli mein sir daala, toh moosal se kya darna". It applies to all the worst situations in life and makes me feel better, and get out of bad situations well.
Shehzad Shaikh
I normally use Shaikh apni apni dekh because me and my family have a bad habit of being extremely overly generous with anything and everything we have. Which is why we have to remind ourselves that Shaikh apni apni dekh.
And har ghar ki kahani hoti hai ki outside your home, you may be a superstar but at home you're dal barabar(laughs) and it will never change. So yes, Ghar ki murgi daal barabar is also one of the favourites. It's the story of my life sometimes.(laughs).

As a child, I was fixated on what had happened in the past, especially if things had not gone as per expectations. I had a Hindi teacher I looked up to, and with whom I shared my concerns sometimes.
I remember she would always tell me “रात गयी बात गयी”। It was always difficult to accept that and make it a part of my life. But when I finally did accept it, life became smooth.
And since then I have become more grateful for what I have and my relationships with people around me improved tremendously. This is my way of thanking her since it also was Teacher’s Day a few days back.

Jaako Raakhe Saaiyaan Maar Sake Na Koye. I don’t use it often but believe in it. Time and again it has proved to be true for me in my life.
Munisha Khatwani
So my favourite kahawat is Jala hua bhi chala phook phook kar peeta hai Which means once you have been burnt in life or once you have had a bad experience, then, of course, you're very cautious and anybody for that matter you're very cautious and moves ahead very carefully and very cautiously and very systematically and carefully about what each move is.

Jaisi karni waisi Bharni. I totally believe in it in real life. I think it's a way of life. Aap jaise karma karenge aap ko waisa phal milega.
Redemption is something very strong in sulcation and I think everyone should not just take it as just a proverb/kahawat but make it a part of their life which they remember for life. This is one of the laws of your way of living life.

दूर के ढोल सुहावने लगते हैं, the reason being, we always end up thinking that other people have better lives or better things than we do. But this is not always true. It’s just that we’re not fully aware of the reality

Tere Munh mein ghee Shakkar. This connects to my first international trip and that was to the United States for a food festival in West Palm Beach, Miami
The incident took place when I joined the firm called Hopping Chef in Lower Parel from Oberoi’s.
It happened to be just 7 days ago when I got to know from the owner of this place that we are representing Indian food in one of the important events in February 2016 ( he did not mention that we are going to do this in the USA).
Chef Michel Swamy ( Celebrity chef) and I had to be a part of this event, which was discussed in January 2016.
When I discussed with Chef Michel about this event, after all the conversation about the event and planning, I told him that it should happen abroad and not in India as the planning and the food we thought of executing was of international level of hospitality and instantly.
And, Chef Michel said something on the lines of this saying in his own language and smiled. I still discuss this incident with him that sometimes fortunately you happen to say something out of nowhere, which in the future happens for a good cause.

This expression remains very true to life and pretty much all of its inhabitants. "Charte Sooraj Kay Poojari." I have heard my parents use this many times when I was growing up and to date it makes sense and exists to be the status quo.
This expression is attached to any individual in any field who has lots of power and clout which is why people chase after them. Humans tend to be in awe of people with power and fame but unfortunately the opposite of this expression is rather sad.
Because the same individual can immediately be rejected and unacknowledged in a minute if they have a downfall.
However, this is a lesson of humility and our ego which teaches us to stay grounded because things can change very quickly and quite rapidly.

My favourite saying is Jo boyega wohi paayega and in English it is as you sow so shall you reap. Results don't come without effort. You have to work hard to get what you want.

Hindi Diwas is celebrated to mark the adoption of Hindi as one of the official languages of India. Hindi is the language I personally use to make a living, thus I give it the respect it deserves in my life.
My personal favourite kahawat in Hindi is Tere muh mein Ghee Shakkar. May you have ghee and sugar in your mouth for saying such sweet, lovely things. I Frequently say this to an individual who arrives with good news.
Suhani Dhanki
It is important to understand and value Hindi today when people feel proud speaking English. Jaisi karni vaisi bharni. जैसी करनी वैसी भरनी. I believe in Karma so I usually use this .It also means that you eventually have to face up to the consequences of your actions.

I'm a Hindi-speaking person. I have been born and brought up in UP. So for me Hindi is my first language and obviously there are alot of Kahawats that we use since childhood.
But Tere muh mein Ghee Shakkar is one of the most common one's and that has more relevance today because there's so much negativity around.
So when somebody says something very positive, something very nice. So instantly that comes out of our mouth. So it's alot more relevant than it ever was before this.
