Historic ‘Milan’- Of  Star- Cousins Kajol And Rani Mukherji At Star-Studded North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Pandal At Juhu

All these years, for reasons best known to them and amidst whispers of  a rumoured ‘cold-war’,   mega-stars and cousins Rani Mukerji and Kajol had never turned up together on the same day for offering their obeisance to Maa Durga-Debi  at the ongoing North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja  Pandal at Juhu.  Both would inavariably make their ‘solo’ appearances on different days.  Yesterday, when Rani and Kajol Devgn came together it was a ‘historic’ re-union of sorts.Their warm rapport and  chatty camaraderie ( like long-lost-friends meeting after ages ) was in full public view of thousands of thrilled devotees who had come to the pandal for  darshan of the revered Maa Durga deity followed by Prasad-bhog    The turn-out of top celebs included Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, director  Ayan Mukerji, Sumona Chakraborty, Puja Banerji and Priyanka Chopra who visited North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja  Pandal to seek the blessings of Maa . Also present from the Mukherjee family were Debu Mukherjee and actress Sharbani Mukherjee. Popular pop-star singers Richa Sharma and Nikita Gandhi performed live & entertained the audience with his classic numbers.  The AC pandal serves over 5000 devotees each day with the special bhog being made and served to all the visitors by the Mukherjee family personally and the committee members.  The Dhaki troupe specially comes from Kolkata to perform. Dhunuchi Dance & Sindur khela is the highlight Maa Durga’s  protima ( iconic statue) is 17.5 ft tall & 30 ft broad which makes is one of the tallest protimas in Mumbai..Members of North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti 2019 unanimously believe “Our puja is well known as a "GHARUA PUJA" which means all are welcome to become a part of our puja family..We believe in serving Bhog to all who come to seek blessings of Maa Durga. Our members are actively involved in serving the Bhog”.
