Shanthipriya, an epitome of talent, a true testimony to the modern-women-can-have-it-all , she inspired & encouraged women to chase their dreams when they were looked only as 'homemakers', she shined bright in Kollywood as well as Bollywood & paved way for other women to follow their ambition.

She is Known to take forward V. Shantaram’s legacy forward. A journey that a woman makes to create such identification for herself – despite, or because of, her background – is commendable on its own.

On this occasion taking a stand for women She says,”For me Women’s day is every day. A women in herself is a full circle and complete within herself she has inside her the potency to fight for whatever is right! But a Change in the way everybody look upto a women is very much needed. I believe today awareness is there and everybody is trying to make an effort to change the views towards many things, and even about women.”

Shanthipriya who happens to be the widow of  V.Shantaram's late granson Sushant Ray believes that Celebration of Women's Day becomes important only when a woman has the privilege to make choices of every aspect of her life
