MasterChef Australia has been one of the most loved international shows in India since it first aired over 10 years ago. Australia’s favourite judges Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris, and Matt Preston have become household names in our country too. MasterChef is no longer just a TV show, it’s a cultural phenomenon and this time, with Hotstar Premium, you will not need to wait for months to watch the latest season of one of the biggest reality shows in India. Season 11 of MasterChef Australia will be available in India exclusively on Hotstar Premium from the 4th May 2019, soon after the show’s premiere in Australia. Returning for its 11th extraordinary season in 2019, MasterChef Australia dares to dream as it puts its contestants to task alongside the key players in the respected culinary world. The show converts the most mundane daily chore of cooking into a life changing experience. This show has provided the most sumptuous and gorgeous looking dishes, through some unimaginable cooking techniques while also getting people to build on their food vocabulary.

Twenty-four talented and passionate home cooks have earned the privilege of wearing the coveted white apron.  With different backgrounds, different experiences, skills and cultural influences, there is one thing that unites our Top 24 – their passion for food. Will Jess Hall, a New South Wales travel agent who wears her heart on her sleeve, succeed in winning the hearts of the judges? Will Tim Bone, who shares an uncanny resemblance to Prince Harry, find his crowning achievement in the kitchen? Will Sandeep Pandit, a Victorian IT project manager from Kashmir, tip the judges spice meter over the edge with his traditional feast?  The stakes are high as aspiring MasterChef’s contend for culinary glory with shocks, surprises and bundles of fun at every step of the way.

Last year, Sashi Cheliah, an Indian-Singaporean origin Australian cook stood victorious. With more talented home cooks competing this year, who will the next MasterChef be? Only time will tell! Hotstar Premium is the first and only destination for you to watch this show just days after the international premiere. Sashi Cheliah, Indian-Singaporean born Australian television cook, prison officer and winner of MasterChef Australia 2018 said, “It’s been a year now and I am still enjoying the euphoria that surrounds MasterChef Australia. It is truly an incredible experience laced with both delight and excitement. MasterChef Australia enjoys a massive fan following in India and the fact that Indian audiences do not have to wait for months to catch up on the latest happenings of the show is quite wonderful. With India being such a culturally vibrant country, food plays a very central role among Indian families and with this show, they now have yet another reason to connect with what they love most – food.  I wish all the new contestants for season 11 the best of luck as the competition progresses.”

MasterChef Australia is an Endemol Shine Australia production for Network Ten Australia. The MASTERCHEF format and finished programmes are represented internationally by Endemol Shine Group, and is based on a format originally created by Franc Roddam.
