The film ' Rocketry: The Nambi Effect ' was released in cinemas this Friday, July 1, the story of this film is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan who was a former scientist and aerospace engineer of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation).
He was falsely accused of espionage, later acquitted. The Central government has also honored space scientist Nambi Narayanan with the Padma Bhushan award for his work.
This film is based on the events of his entire life. In which the journey from his life as a graduate student at Princeton University to his becoming a scientist and then being falsely accused is shown.
This is R Madhavan's first film as a director. Madhavan himself is playing the main character of Professor Nambi Narayan in the movie and apart from him, Simran, Misha Ghoshal, Rajit Kapoor and Karthik are also in the film. Bollywood Kin Khan aka Shahrukh Khan also has a cameo in the film in which he plays the role of a chat show host.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect was released in less than 2000 screens and its first day collection is not that good. According to media reports the collection of the film has been around 65 lakhs to 75 lakhs on the first day.
These are the initial figures of the box office collection and it will be known in the coming times what the film earns next this weekend. The OTT and digital rights of the film have already been sold for Rs 35 crore.
