HOW SOME TIK TOK STARS BEHAVE BADLY WITH THE MEDIA

Amid the India-China standoff at the border, the Government of India, as you know, has banned 59 Chinese apps in India under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act . On the list of the banned apps is Tik Tok, which gave anonymous people from across the country a chance to become an online sensation overnight. Especially since some of the so called Tik Tok stars have even beaten the Bollywood stars when it comes to their volume of followers.

The talented 16-year-old TikTok star TikTok star Siya Kakkar, who had ecven amassed over 1 million followers on the platform with her lip-syncing and dance videos, passed away on June 25 in New Delhi and while the family has not specified a cause of death, it is being whispwered that Kakkar died by suicide. Siya had close to 2 lacs followers on her official Instagram account and enjoyed a huge following on various social media platforms and had gained immense popularity due to her dance videos. Her sudden demise has shocked everyone to the very core and police has been trying to figure out the reason behind this extreme step by talking to her family members, close friends and school authorities.

No wonder some of these Tik Tok stars like Riyaz Aly, Arishfa Khan, Nisha Guragain, Reeshma Nanaiah, Awez Darbar, Fukru, Amir Siddiqui and Resty Kamboj and Bhargav aka Fun Bucket Bhargav continue to have the same attitude as well as ‘akhad’ when they come across the media guys and most of them do not seem to be too perturbed by the ban on Tik Tok and in fact are also over-confident that their loyal fan base will easily follow them on whichever platform they choose to move on to to. These Tik Tok stars are  no longer modest because they have earned obscene amounts and In fact, Shaikh Mohammad Mudassir Faisal alias Faisu, who is a model and social media influencer at the age of just 25 had even developed cat’s whiskers too.

Recently when I met him at an event and expressed my desire to interview him since he had become one of the leading Tik Tok stars today, and asked him if he could give me his contact number, the ‘proud’ and arrogant guy had the temerity to tell a senior journalist like me that I should get in touch with his manager and wait for at least a month or two since he was extremely busy and just walked away from me, leaving me stunned. I, for one, am extremely happy that Tik Tiok has been banned and these upstarts  can no longer show their 'bhav' to anyone and everyone
