HRITHIK FINALLY OPENS UP ABOUT HIS NEXT PROJECT 'SUPER 30'

After keeping his fans guessing all this while, Kaabil star Hrithik Roshan has finally opened up on his next project Super 30, a biopic on mathematician Anand Kumar, which will be directed by Vikas Bahl. The actor will play a math wizard and the film’s tentative title Super 30 comes from the name of the coaching centre that Anand Kumar runs in Patna.

Speaking to DNA about his meeting with mathematician Anand Kumar in an interview, Hrithik said, “I had a very nice meeting with him. He’s a fantastic person. Apart from the movie, I have engaged in a lot of other conversations with him about his life. It’s an extremely inspirational journey.”

Biopics are all about a person's life and times for which actors try to mould themselves and pick up the character. Hrithik, on the other hand says that he has a completely different approach and said, “That is a very individualistic approach. You don’t have to mimic or mirror someone to play them in a film. You need not be identical, so why even try doing that? That’s one way to do it, maybe. But the other way is to narrate a story and to project the emotions in the best way that suits the actor. It depends on how you want to play it. For me, it’s not important to be exactly like the person who I’m playing. I didn’t even do it for Akbar. It’s purely the emotional journey that needs to be communicated.”

However, Hrithik refused to confirm his presence in the film as of now and said, “It’s too early to get into such details. I am also looking at many other scripts. Nothing is official right now. But yes, this seems like a very, very good journey for me to collaborate on. We have to wait for the official announcement,” he said.

Super 30 is based on the life of  mathematician Anand Kumar, who began a coaching class for IIT aspirants. The 44-year-old mathematician coaches economically impoverished students for IIT-JEE. Anand started this program with the aim to groom IIT aspirants who couldn’t afford the tuition fees and till date, continues to devote his entire life to doing so.
