The news was announced by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited on Thursday. According to a leading daily, for producing the global content for audiences across the world, Canada's Zee Entertainment studios working on many projects including adaptations of Hum Paanch, which is being produced in its British version as Lala's Ladiez. The Anglo-Spanish version of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain is also in pipeline which is tentatively titled as Love Thy Neighbour. Tellychakkar also reported that the Vancouver studio aims to create global content and formats for international markets in local languages, which will be based on popular Indian shows and successful ideas. The initial focus will be to produce only content for television and digital platforms but later the studio also plans to venture into film production. The CEO at International Broadcast Business, ZEEL, Amit Goenka stated, "ZEE has always been a cultural ambassador to India, taking its rich and engaging content across the world. In yet another major milestone, we are now set to launch our production company, ZEE Studios International, in Canada which is led by Subhadarshi Tripathy. Hum Paanch is a nineties comedy show about the lives of five sisters and their father that featured Vidya Balan, Priya Tendulkar, Ashok Saraf, Shoma Anand and Rakhee Tandon.
