I FEEL FATHERS ARE TAKEN FOR GRANTED, SAYS AMIT SARIN

Jyothi Venkatesh

On the occasion of Father's Day, actor Amit Sarin admitted that fathers are indeed taken for granted and also shares some beautiful memories of his father. "I feel  fathers are taken for granted as they appear less emotional and express less to maintain their tough personality. So, the sacrifices fathers make to put their family’s need before their own, often goes unnoticed. I feel a father dedicates his whole life to his kids and family," Amit says. Recalling some memories of his father, he says, "It’s hard to pick one but I remember when my father taught me how to ride a bicycle and then bought a moped - I think it was a Luna, I used to wait for evenings so that he can help me ride it around our colony."

When asked about a lesson that he learnt from his father and implements it in his life, he says, "My father started from scratch, he had no money to pay for his school or have three proper meals. He taught me to set goals in life and work tirelessly to achieve it and also to never forget the help and support you get in the journey to meet your goal! He used to say 'Have a dream, break it into goals and be thankful for all the help you get on the way'."Amit currently lives in L.A. with his wife Vineesha Arora Sarin and kids - Vaeda and Aveer. He was last seen on Star Plus'  in "Nisha Aur Uske Cousins". He is currently busy with the production of his own Hollywood project "Tiger Heart".
