I Wrote My Own Shayaris For A Few Episodes: Shaheer Sheikh

Television’s heartthrob Shaheer Sheikh who topped the Times Most Desirable List in 2017, has received positive reactions from fans deeming Abir as his most endearing character on screen. Along with his desirability and appeal, the talented actor loves writing and little did we know that he wrote his own shayaris for his recently launched show on StarPlus – Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke.

Shaheer revealed, “Shayaris are a major part of Abir’s character and viewers witness him quoting shayaris during every entry scene on the show. Apart from being the most interesting and unique part of my role, they are a USP of Abir’s personality. I thoroughly enjoyed doing shayaris as part of my character and wrote my own shayaris for a few initial episodes. Writing has been a very important part of my life and I started writing right from the age of 15-16 years. But since I spend most of my time focusing on my performance and preparing for the scenes, I hardly have time to work on the shayaris. I hope fans and viewers enjoy my performance on screen as much as I enjoy shooting for it.”

The talented actor that he is, has added a new feather to his cap through the portrayal of a distinctive character like Abir. With Shaheer’s charm and aura, the show is sure to make for a captivating watch for audiences!
