When will some people who have this wild and dangerous hobby of talking about the famous dead? Looking at the way they are endlessly talking about Sushant Singh Rajput, it seems like this hobby is here to stay...
People who knew Sushant and mostly those who didn't are still coming up with their own stories and the social media is only too willing to give all the importance to their stories, in its own interest.
A man like Mukesh Bhatt claims that he knew Sushant was going to "go the Parveen Babi way". What did Mr Bhatt mean by making a mean statement like this? His brother, Mahesh Bhatt has also made statements that smirk of neglect and nepotism and there are videos on Youtube which show very clearly how Mahesh, the one-time messiah and now the prophet of doom has openly practiced nepotism on different occasions. Was the reaction of the Bhatt brothers the result of Sushant turning down their offer to play a role in their film, "Sadak 2" ? A singer like Sonu Nigam has made a shocking statement about how pressure is being put on men and women working in the music industry.
Sonu has been even hinted about the next suicide coming from either a singer, a composer or a song writer because of the wild ways the two music company are operating. The two girls who were said to be the girlfriends of Sushant at different times have made the kind of statements that seem to have been made under pressure or is it to save their own skin? The family of Salman Khan has sued Abhinav Kashyap for defamation. Karan Johar has unfollowed all his industry friends, except for Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. All the others who have been targeted have beefed up their security. Why all this panic if they are not guilty and are not scared of facing the reality?
In the midst of all these frightening circumstances, the two people who have stood by their beliefs in Sushant's case are Shekhar Kapur and Kangana Ranaut who has decided to continue her fight against nepotism till the end even if she has to put all that she has at stake...
I have been observing Kangana, the unknown girl from the hills of Manali in Himachal Pradesh who had to go through one long hell of experiences of every kind. She was battered and humiliated by a self-proclaimed well-wisher, she had spent days and nights on the pavements of places like Juhu and Yari Road. A filmmaker like Mahesh Bhatt offered her a lead role, but kept insulting her and at one stage, he is even said to have flung his sandal at her, saying that she would never make it as an actress.
Kangana survived when she could have easily surrendered and there were many occasions when she even had thoughts of ending her life, but she stayed on with the raw guts to prove herself in the industry she felt would never give her a chance to win in a world where nepotism and the power of money were the only things that mattered.
Kangana was at a stage when she was the perfect material for a suicide story. To add to her misery, there was the story of her having a roaring affair with Hrithik Roshan, which led to a lot of bitterness which ultimately led to a fierce legal battle which went in her favour. And at the same time she had two big hits in "Queen" and the "Tanu Weds Manu" sequel. She had proved that she could make out without the patronage of the big families and the so called respectable banners.
Today, Kangana is in a position that no star-kid can achieve and all that she has done is all on her own terms.
I have been thinking about Kangana ever since Sushant left this world. And I seriously think that if Sushant who had hardly met Kangana, could have met Kangana and talked out his problems with her, he would perhaps have found all the right reasons to fight back and not give up his precious life and the name and fame he had made all on his own talent and intelligence.
Kangana who is now an industry in herself has found in the tragic Sushant case the ideal reason to continue her fight against nepotism. And at a time when some of the big brave men are sounding like scared little boys and girls, Kangana has volunteered to be a witness in the cases filed by different interests but with the same intention.
How I wish (even though my wishing is not going to change anything), Sushant had found some time to meet and talk to Kangana, who has now become the voice of the neglected, rejected and tormented!
