Prestigious IIFA-2022 Award-winner mega-star Vicky Kaushal ( Best Actor –Sardar Udham-movie) who recently celebrated his birthday ( May 16th) received his coveted trophy amidst thunderous applause at the star-studded spectacular IIFA last-weekend event at Eithad Arena on Yas Island at exotic location Abu Dhabi (UAE) - Chaitanya Padukone

But what was also quite evident that the sentimental Vicky was badly missing his gorgeous actress-wife Katrina Kaif at the same overseas event.

According to reliable information, Katrina has contracted Covid-19 positive and had to abruptly drop out from the foreign trip. Hence she could not accompany her husband Vicky to Abu Dhabi. . In fact post-Awards event, the emotional Vicky was seen tightly hugging his IIFA Award trophy, while travelling in his car.

That Vicky is a versatile ‘josh-ila’ super-actor ( remember his famous one-liner –‘how is the Josh’) was and is evident right from his initial movie Masaan (2015) and later Raazi ( 2016) and then later in Sanju ( 2018) and of course Uri-The Surgical Strike (2019) .

But with period movie Sardar Udham (2021), he proved that when given an author-backed role, he could well give an authentic performance Reacted Vicky, “I have always wanted to be a part of Shoojitda’s films. I have got my award already by being part of his world. Anything beyond that is an honour,” said the actor, jubilant as he received the IIFA-2022 trophy at the Abu Dhabi .

The engaging biopic — an ode to the revolutionary, Sardar Udham Singh — was highly praised for Sircar’s slick direction and Vicky’s restrained performance.

It is a known fact that the filmmaker had originally planned the period drama with the late Irrfan Khan . Vicky Kaushal, who had the challenging offer of stepping into Irrfan’s shoes, dedicated the award to the at the IIFA 2022 event to the late actor, saying, “I want to dedicate my first Best Actor award to an actor whom I admired and respected all my life — the original choice for this film, our dear Irrfan saab.”

Meanwhile tall, handsome hero Ahan Shetty is soaking in all the love coming his way for his amazing performance in blockbuster film 'Tadap'. The actor has more reasons to celebrate as he won the IIFA-2022 Award for - 'Best Actor Debut Male' for his debut film Tadap.It was a precious emotional moment for Ahan Shetty as the award was presented by his iconic actor-producer father Suniel (Anna) Shetty.

Yet another highly-deserving award was for Best Actress IIA-2022 winner tall, stunning Kriti Sanon ( who seemed very thrilled ) for her mind-boggling screen-performance as the surrogate mother in Mimi .
