Ikk Kudi Punjab Di: Tanisha Mehta Aka Heer of the show talked about the story of the show and her character

Tanisha started her acting career with the lead role of Shreya Maheshwari in SAB TV's show Shubh Labh - Aapke Ghar Mein and in the same year, she got the opportunity to work in the lead role in the Bhojpuri film Ghunghat Mein Scam 2 opposite Parvesh Lal Yadav.  After that she was recently seen in the lead role in Zee TV's show Lag Jaa Gale opposite Namik Paul. Now she will be seen in the lead role of Heer Grewal in Zee TV's upcoming show Ikk Kudi Punjab Di opposite Avinesh Rekhi.

Your character in this show is very different from your earlier characters, you are playing the character of a bold girl who can do anything for her family, what would you like about it?

You have got to see the explosive promo of the show, the broad outline that you have seen in the promo will also be seen in the story. Heer is a very sweet, simple innocent girl, who later in the story becomes the lioness of Punjab. What tragedy happens in her life and how her childhood friend Ranjha supports her, and how with his help Heer becomes a strong person.

As looking at the promo, it seems that this is an intense drama and perhaps something like this has not been seen on TV for a long time, so what would you like to tell about the story of the show?

As you saw in the promo, there is action in it too, and I don't think TV shows show as much action as there is in this one. And the most special thing about this show is that it is not like the typical TV serial where a boy and a girl fall in love and then the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law drama starts. There is a lot of drama, suspense and thrill in this show, and I hope you will have a lot of fun watching this show.

How was your experience shooting with Avneesh?

We met at the airport, I had come back from Australia and I had to go to Amritsar for the shoot, so we boarded a flight from Mumbai together. We did not do any mock shoot before; we did direct shooting. I have a very good rapport with him.

Your character is Punjabi in this show, so did you face any difficulty in capturing his accent?

yes of course. The debate in Punjab is very sweet and respectful, Punjabi people talk very lovingly. I learned it well with the help of Avneesh and the director of the show.

What would you like to say about your Punjabi Kudi look in this show?

I like this look very much. This is very comfortable. In this look I can do action and drama. I feel like a diamond in this look.

What would you like to say to the fans who love you so much?

When I went to Chandigarh, when we were shooting in the market, I met a fan there, she recognized me and then she asked which show is going to come now, on which channel. I liked it very much. So far, we have received a lot of love from the audience and I hope that after watching the show, they will like it even more.
