After attending the film and television institute of India, Vijay Varma unveiled his talent through theater and short films. This landed Vijay, his first feature film as Jhunku Roy in the 1930’s Chittagong uprising based film, Chittagong (2012). His performance drew the attention of ace writer-director Anurag Kashyap who then went forward and cast him in Monsoon Shootout (2013) as Adi, a rookie cop. While the movie didn’t hit the milestone of his breakthrough as an established actor, Vijay continued to explore more projects but at the same time, Vijay was selective about roles. His strategy bore fruit when he landed his breakout role in Pink as one of the most despised characters in the film.
