In the wake of Centre's decision to revoke Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan government announced banning of Indian films in the country. However, this move does not make any difference to India, insist members of the Indian film fraternity. While filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, chief advisor of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees, stated that it’s irrelevant whether a film releases there or not as internal security of the country comes first. Actor Sonu Sood said it's Pakistan's loss, not India's if they decide to ban our films. Award winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar was of the opinion that the Indian government's move was a bold and much-needed move and any consequence arising from the decision is inconsequential. In any case, this is not the first time Pakistan banned Bollywood films. Whenever there's any tension between the two countries, Pakistan refuses to release Indian films.
