Indian Ocean band makes a grand comeback with composing music for a film with Chakki, presented by Umesh Shukla, directed by Satish Munda

The music of the film starring Rahul Bhat and Priya Bapat is also special because the band collaborates with none other than Piyush Mishra who has written the lyrics of the song ‘Sarpat’ that was released today. They last collaborated for the film Black Friday.

The song truly shows the essence of the film and has the trademark style of the Indian Ocean band known for cult songs like Tu Kisi Rail Si Guzarti Hai from Masaan and Mehangaai Daayan from Peepli Live.

The lyrics written by Piyush Mishra are relatable and reflect the struggle of a common man, here in case that of the lead actor moving across multiple desks, offices and departments to solve his problem.

Sarpat is a satirical-yet-emotional take on how the middle class is still struggling with the flawed system in the country. The video of the song also has Indian ocean band performing and it can’t get better than that with lyrics, music and the visuals coming together so beautifully.

The song released on Zee Music today, while the film produced by Bharat Ninderwal under his banner Ninderwal Entertainment Pvt Ltd. is slated to release on 7th October theatrically. The film is being distributed by Shiladitya Bora’s Platoon Distribution.
