I'm satisfied with the verdict and I feel television proceedings in public bring in more transparency and trust in the justice system. Such a procedure may also be looked at from an India standpoint.

I have not followed the trial completely, but from whatever I have come across through social media, I can say that it has managed to create history. Of course I am happy with the verdict, I am happy that Johnny Depp won this defamation trial and the world finally got to see what this man went through.

More than defamation, I feel this was about the real truth of Amber Heard coming out once and for all. From lying about her donations to fabricating the pics of her injury, all these lies could come out only because of this trial.

Also, this case showed the world that abuse has no gender. I am not being biased but I am just trying to say that she too did not leave any stones unturned in making his life hell.

Now I just hope he is back as Captain Jack Sparrow. I am not in favour of the televised proceedings. It has a lot of mud-slinging involved.

I feel a relationship is something between two people. It should remain so. Celebrities are also human. I feel washing personal linen outside is very classless.

Also only those two people know what is their truth. Everyone else is just a voyeur peeping into someone's life. Unka sach woh jaane.

Winning a case in a court of law is another thing from what was true. Who are we to judge? Walk in their shoes to truly judge them.

Yes I was following their proceedings and I feel yes it should be in India so that fake cases can come out in public, I believe in gender equality which is a myth in India for now but all I can do is that I'll teach my child, all genders are equal.

That is why I feel it should be captured in India as well . Be it man or a woman If any of them is torturing or beating or abusing their partners they should be exposed and punished by law.

Because domestic violence for me is a sin and scary . Sin for those who beat their partner and SCARY for those who got beaten up.

For the sufferer It is not only physical damage, it is mental and emotional damage as well . So big NO for domestic violence.

I didn’t follow the proceedings at all as I was not interested and personally I don’t think your private life should be made public.

Things should be handled in a dignified manner from both sides especially with a person with whom you were so close at one point in time in life. I would keep personal things personal. Having said that, to each his own.

No, I’ve been busy and could catch just a few clips on social media. Instead of commenting on the verdict, I want to voice that domestic violence has no gender and it is critical to speak up against any such violence.

There are laws in place in the US that decide what can be televised and what can’t and I’m sure they are there for good reason.

In India, legal proceedings can be attended by all those interested and impacted I believe. Live streaming is a larger discussion for which there are arguments on both sides and should be left to the legal experts and the upholders of law to ponder over.

I haven't followed the case closely but did know through social media news & updates. Yes, I'm happy with the verdict because right has won & that is victory for all. As long as here they don't make it like a television show & add all the masala. It's worth a try.
