Actors Nag Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu got married over the weekend in two separate ceremonies in Goa and the world clearly cannot keep calm.

The couple has been very active on social media since the very beginning, posting pictures of one another and their friends, family regularly. They first met in 2014, while shooting for Ye Maaya Chesave. Just recently, Samantha had posted a picture of the couple with the frame having Ye Maaya Chesave embossed on it.

As the couple continue to rule the trend, in and out of Goa, we look at the couple of things that we know about the wedding.

I do, twice

The couple married according to Hindu rituals on October 6 and then had a Christian-style wedding on October 7.

The outfits

For the Hindu ceremony, Samantha wore a sari that belonged to Chaitanya’s grandmother. “It’ll be an ode to her,” Samantha was quoted as telling a media publication before the wedding. The dress for the Christian ceremony was designed by Kresha Bajaj, who is known to design love stories on clothes. Bajaj had done the same for her wedding, and she repeated the lovely concept for Samantha’s engagement to Nag Chaitanya. And then the wedding gown was to die for as well

Simple wedding?

Well, Nag Chaitanya’s father and veteran actor Nagarjuna Akkineni had said that it was a simple wedding. “”With Rama Naidu garu’s (Naga Chaitanya’s maternal grandfather) and our family, it’s hardly 100 members. It’s not a lavish wedding, it is the most simple one,” Nagarjune had said. However, certain other reports cited that the wedding cost the families a whooping Rs 10 crore.

No honeymoon

The actors are busy with their respective films. The couple will jet out of the country in December, around Christmas and/or New Years. Initial reports suggest that the couple will be flying to New York for three days during Christmas, which also happens to be the city where they first shot together.

As far as films are concerned, Samantha, interestingly, will next be seen in her father-in-law’s movie.
