Inspired By Biblical Verses From The Book Of Corinthians, Singer Gwen Dias Is Releasing Her New Song "The Good Race" On April 15th

Mumbai based singer-songwriter Gwen Dias is set to release her new single "The Good Race" on April 15th. The song is inspired by the words of St Paul from the book of Corinthians Chapter 9, verses 24-27, which exhorts humanity to train themselves hard in this game called Life, and strive to win the prize, a prize not of gold or silver but the eternal prize.From the early age, Gwen’s singing was highly influenced by the gospel music. She strongly believes that singing in church choirs gave wings to her dreams. One can easily find gospel influence in her songs from her first single 'Legacy' to 'The Good Race'. The Good Race is all about the hard times one face in their lives but to stand up and rise is the message Gwen wants to deliver with this song. This can even be seen in her music video of the song where the devil inside one's body tries to stop them to win but they need to fight and stand up on what they believe. Gwen attributes her musical influences to artists from a diverse palette of genres like Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Hans Zimmer and the compositions of Disney’s iconic movies and Broadway musicals helped shape her musical sensibilities. To her credit, she has sung along-side India’s biggest music directors and singers like A.R Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Sunidhi Chauhan on television shows like MTV Unplugged ,Coke studio and major award shows in India.  Currently she is on tour with singer Arijit Singh in United States.
